Kasashima is one of the most beautiful villages of the Seto Inland Sea in my opinion. It is located on the east coast of Honjima and it’s quite tiny. No more than a handful of people live there full-time, but most of its houses are well-maintained even when the owners live faraway, a rarity.
Fun fact: the two pictures were taken in the same street, almost from the same spot, but facing the two opposite directions, and also four years apart (2012 for the top one, 2016 for the bottom one). 🙂
