Just like many other people, Shinji Ohmaki‘s Liminal Air – core – in Takamatsu Sunport, was my first contact with the Setouchi Triennale. Nowadays, it’s pretty much a part of the landscape. I even assume most people are unaware of its link to Art Setouchi. However, every time I go to Sunport, I always have a second or two to spare on my way to “pay homage” to it, if only by an acknowledging glimpse.
On a side note, the 2016 edition of the Setouchi Triennale is really around the corner. The list of the new artworks has already been published in Japanese, I’m just waiting for its publication in English to talk about it here in more details.
