Setouchi Triennale Retrospective – Balefire of the Hometown

This was back during the Setouchi Triennale 2013 on Takamijima:

It was called Balefire of the Hometown by Ryo Wakabayashi, and I’m not too sure what it was all about.

However, I liked the fact that it didn’t really look like art, but some sort of unknown and unique industry specific to Takamijima (the abandoned industrial structure behind reinforcing that feeling).

That’s all for today, and yes, it may be strange that I decide to talk about a work of art that has been gone for five years, but I still have a few in my archives and I thought that those little retrospectives could be a good way to make your mouth water waiting for the Setouchi Triennale 2019.
