Looks awesome and reminds me a bit of some of the streets in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture.
I’m not too familiar with Takayama, but this neighborhood is almost exclusively made of houses from the Edo Period.
Sanmachi (さんまち), a very pretty section of Takayama’s old city is packed with wooden buildings just like this, and would date from the Edo Period.
