(Show Me Japan starts earlier earlier every week-end…
That gives us more time to enjoy it)

Wow what an impressive site, like all the motion! Thanks for sharing.
Hi David,
nah, it’s not early. 1AM on a Friday is just about right 🙂 The weekend!!!
And I need to poke around your other taikodai entries, this looks awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
Thanks. 🙂
Yeah, Taikodai are awesome (and wait until the Danjiri arrive – that’s for today or tomorrow if I have time… Well, Taikodai are more impressive, but there are less of them).
(and I’m all for having the week-end start as early as possible)
That mikoshi looks so big and heavy!!! And the performance must be very exciting.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks.
Actually, it’s not a Mikoshi, it’s a Taikodai. And yes they are big (5 meters, 15ft) and 2.5 tons. I invite you to check three posts ago for details, and two posts ago to see them in action. 🙂
