Quick stop…

Fushimi Inari Taisha

Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto

A quick stop on the blog to say hi as I’ve reached the midpoint of my vacation, so “Hi”.

The first half consisted in a small trip to Kyoto and a stop to Ehime (Niihama and Saijo to be precise).

The second half should be about my beloved Setouchi islands, namely Awashima, Ogijima and Teshima (for the Karato matsuri).

My travel advice of the day: avoid Kyoto on three-day weekends (especially if you don’t like herds of tourists), even more so when a typhoon invites itself to the party. Well, the good side is that it allowed me to discover some new and lesser known parts of Kyoto.

See you very soon.
